Laboratories
Science and Technology Laboratories
Our campus houses four science laboratories—Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Science—used in science lessons and research activities. Our main goal is to nurture students as individuals who can think scientifically, conduct experiments, produce solutions, and engage in research. In line with this purpose, our Physics, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories provide experiments and activities parallel to the topics covered in class. Students are encouraged to apply the theoretical knowledge they gain in class, conduct observations and experiments, and connect them to real-life situations.
Projects and studies conducted in laboratories and clubs represent our school in national and international competitions.
Computer Laboratories
Our campus has two computer labs, each equipped with 24 computers. These computers include educational games, office programs, 3D modeling software, graphic and animation design programs, web design applications, coding programs suitable for different age levels, game design software, and various programming tools.
Each student has access to a personal computer, and the campus has uninterrupted internet connectivity. Teachers can remotely monitor and assist students’ work through control software installed in the labs. Wireless network access is available throughout the campus.
Maker Laboratory
Our campus also features a Maker Lab, designed as a next-generation production workshop. Students have access to a 3D printer for modeling and printing, electronic components and boards (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.), age-appropriate LEGO sets, programmable robot kits, and Makey Makey kits, among many other tools and materials.
Sports Facilities
Our campus offers both indoor and outdoor sports areas. Indoor sports halls host basketball, volleyball, badminton, and tennis, while outdoor fields accommodate football and basketball. Mirrored rooms are available for dance, ballet, and gymnastics practices.
Changing rooms for students are provided in sports halls where official competitions can also take place. Indoor sports halls have stands with sufficient capacity for spectators. The modern sports complex includes a semi-Olympic, 6-lane indoor swimming pool. Swimming lessons, training sessions, and fun water activities are conducted under the supervision of instructors. Students use the pool during Physical Education classes on a rotational basis, and swimming styles are also taught in social clubs. The pool is disinfected using the latest ozone purification technology and undergoes regular health inspections.
Art Facilities
Fine arts education holds a significant place at İSTEK Semiha Şakir Schools for the development of students’ aesthetic perception. Art classes are conducted in dedicated art studios, and our campus has two painting workshops. Music classes take place in fully equipped music rooms and orchestra halls, led by expert instructors. A recording studio is available to enable students to record their performances.
Classrooms
Lessons at İSTEK Schools are conducted in classrooms equipped with the latest educational technology. All classrooms have smart boards and projectors, and the spaces are designed to be spacious, bright, and well-furnished to facilitate effective learning.
Conference Hall
Our professional conference hall, equipped with advanced technical facilities, can accommodate 450 people and hosts various artistic events.
Library
The Library and Media Centers are an integral part of our academic program and hold great importance in our school culture. Considering technological advancements and increasing resources, our libraries have been expanded and equipped with digital technologies since 2007. In schools where primary and secondary levels are separate, there are separate libraries for each level, staffed by dedicated librarians. In single-building campuses, two interlinked libraries serve both levels, and preschool libraries have their own dedicated spaces.
Primary school libraries feature furniture and shelving appropriate for younger students, and all libraries are centrally located for easy access. Libraries are uniformly furnished and equipped with computers, projectors, exhibition areas, notice boards, posters, photocopiers, scanners, and visual materials. Library Media Centers range in size from 100–200 m² and are open weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Students and teachers use the libraries for reading, research, project work, and study.
To meet evolving educational needs, our Library Media Centers continually integrate digital technologies, ensuring a modernized and dynamic learning environment.
