İSTEK Semiha Şakir Schools

Health

Our health unit informs parents at the beginning of the academic year with updated health cards. Students with special health conditions are monitored by the school health unit, advisors/class teachers, and school administration. During school trips, at least one responsible staff member from the health unit or a staff member trained in basic first aid is always present. In case of an emergency, students are transported to contracted healthcare institutions with parental consent.

Safety

The physical areas of our school are monitored by security personnel and 24/7 closed-circuit cameras. Given our location, the approach of strangers to school premises can be easily detected, and necessary safety measures are ensured in coordination with the Üsküdar District Police Department.

Uniforms

At İSTEK Schools, student uniforms are produced by Turkey’s leading school uniform textile manufacturers. Upper garments are made of 100% hygienic cotton fabrics that allow sweat to evaporate. Our uniforms are free from carcinogenic substances, nitrogen-free, dyed with organic colors, and breathable. Bottom garments, such as pants and skirts, are produced with 30% polyester and 70% cotton for durability, according to the İSTEK Special Concept. All fabrics undergo physical and chemical testing in approved laboratories.

Following washing instructions and using appropriate detergents ensures longer durability of the uniforms. Various pattern designs cater to all age groups. Our products are specially manufactured for İSTEK students.

Transportation

Transportation services at İSTEK Schools are provided by our group company, İSTEK Servis A.Ş. Safety and compliance with traffic rules are strictly maintained. Students are picked up from their homes and dropped off at the same locations after school. Seat belts must always be fastened. Traffic rules and speed limits are strictly followed, and vehicle safety and maintenance are guaranteed by the institution.

All vehicles, drivers, and accompanying staff comply with the official “School Service Vehicles Service Regulation” published in the Official Gazette dated 28.08.2007, issue 26627. Vehicles for children under 7 years old are not used. Kindergarten and primary school services have accompanying staff, and drivers have a minimum of 5 years of experience. All vehicles are equipped according to the standard requirements, including GPS tracking systems.

Meals

Healthy nutrition is one of our top priorities. It is essential for us that children are fed hygienically, with balanced and age-appropriate calories. Menus are prepared considering the age characteristics of children and include breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Meals are produced in our campus cafeterias with maximum attention to hygiene standards.
